About the April Vacation Camp Director

Picture
Hannah-Jo Weisberg

Hannah-Jo is honored to be making her Arts in Motion teaching debut! Hannah-Jo holds a degree in Music Theater from Baldwin Wallace University. After graduation, she spent 5 years performing all around the country and parts of Europe. She then decided to switch her focus from performing to the production side of theater and became a Casting Director for RWS Entertainment Group in New York City. Hannah-Jo came to the valley in 2020 to be the Company Manager of the entertainers at Story Land and never left! You may recognize Hannah-Jo from her performances as Kira in Xanadu and Shelby in Steel Magnolias at M&D Playhouse, where she is currently directing Barefoot in The Park. You may also recognize Hannah-Jo as the current Theater Manager at Believe in Books Literacy Foundation, where she directed the Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast last October and will be your head counselor at music theater summer camp this coming July. Hannah-Jo is so inspired by the talent here in the valley and can not wait to get to work!

2 WEEK TEEN INTENSIVE SUMMER CAMP FOR AGES 13-18

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

JULY 18-31, 2022

1 WEEK CHILDREN'S SUMMER CAMP FOR AGES 6-12

Is Ever After really as happy as everyone expected?  In a hilarious parody of daytime TV, host Sally Lizzie Jesse Donatello-Griffin or Monterey Jack Chesterfield Williamson (you pick the gender) wonders if time truly heals all wounds.  She invites Cinderella and her middle-aged ’beauty-impaired’ stepsisters to reconcile with each other after being estranged for 20 years.  What about Snow White and the Evil Queen?  This hysterical fractured fairy tale has it all:  a trash-talking clairvoyant mirror, an unfortunate prince who is turning slowly back into a frog, and even Jiminy Cricket — now an occupational therapist and author of the book “My Life as Your Conscience.”
