Arts in Motion Theater Company
presents Into The Woods.

The Brothers Grimm hit the stage at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse with an epic fairytale about wishes, family and the choices we make when Arts in Motion Theater Company presents Into The Woods with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine

Everyone’s favorite storybook characters come together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece and rare modern classic. The TONY Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Show dates are Thursday - Sunday, August 20, 21, 22, 23 and Wednesday - Saturday, August 26, 27, 28, 29 with a curtain time of 7:00. The show is presented in two acts with a 15 minute intermission, with refreshments.

All tickets $20 general seating and are on sale now or by reservation at 356-0110.

The playhouse is located right next door to the Eastern Slope Inn Resort. Parking for all shows is in the community lot located behind the playhouse, off River Road, or across the street in the Observatory parking lot.

Into The Woods Is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Into the Woods is rated PG as it contains some violence, death, and frightening moments, so it may not be appropriate for young children. The first act of the show is lighter in tone than the second. In general we feel that the show is appropriate for children ages 10+, but parents should use their own discretion as they know their children and their sensitivities and maturity levels best
