GENERATIONS
MAY 14, 15, 16, 17, 28, 29, 30, 2015
Arts in Motion Theater Company will present Generations, May 14, 15, 16, 17, 28, 29, 30 7:00 pm at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse. A social generation is about increasing awareness of the possibility of permanent social change and the idea of youthful rebellion against the established social order. A generation is one of the fundamental social categories in a society, while others view its importance as being overshadowed by other factors such as class, gender, race, education, and so on. This experimental theater piece will offer families a wonderful opportunity to introduce teens to live theater and discuss social issues.
The production is directed by Glenn Noble and choreographed by Aimee Frechette. Writers Merry Paulding, Cayle Johnson, Benjamin Woodson, Gillian Brosnan, Glenn Noble, Robin Croce & others who wish to remain anonymous have written a powerful show dealing with such issues as domestic violence, bullying, divorce, and how today’s world effects our youth. Noble states “Many times in rehearsal the cast was brought to tears by the honesty and hope in the original work.”
Due to sensitive issues the show is rated PG-13.
