All 11 roles are speaking roles, with several also featuring movement and dance. We are looking for teen actors ready to perform, learn, grow, and become part of this magical production!

You are NOT required to have any familiarity with Shakespeare to audition! We’ll help you discover the characters, language, comedy, movement, and magic of the story.

ABOUT THE SHOW
On the eve of a war-ending marriage, a quartet of lovers escapes into the forest. There, they encounter a glowing world that resembles their own far more than they realize. Elsewhere in the forest, a troupe of actors rehearses a tragedy by moonlight. Love gets complicated. Magic takes over. And one extraordinary night changes everything.

Actors will sign up for an individual 10-minute audition time slot between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

TEEN ROLES AVAILABLE
- PUCK (Robin Goodfellow) —( Male or Female) Mischievous, energetic, clever, and unpredictable. Puck serves Oberon and loves creating a little chaos. This featured role requires strong stage presence, comedic timing, physical energy, and confidence with dialogue. Movement/dance experience is helpful.
- MOTH — A playful and spirited fairy with plenty of personality. Moth brings energy, curiosity, and strong character choices to the magical world of the forest. Movement/dance may be incorporated.
- COBWEB — A lively, imaginative, and expressive fairy. A great role for an actor who enjoys physical storytelling and creating a distinct character.
- PEASEBLOSSOM — A bright, graceful, and enthusiastic fairy who helps bring the enchanted forest to life. Strong movement and ensemble skills are helpful.
- MUSTARDSEED — A fun, quirky fairy with opportunities for comedy and personality. Mustardseed should be expressive, energetic, and comfortable working as part of the fairy ensemble.
- COWSLIP — A magical forest character who brings warmth, movement, and personality to the fairy world. This role offers opportunities to create an original character through dialogue and physical performance.
- THISTLE — A spirited fairy with a little extra edge and attitude. Thistle is energetic and expressive, adding another unique personality to the enchanted forest.
- PHILOSTRATE — An attendant to Theseus who helps organize the entertainment surrounding the royal wedding. Responsible, observant, and composed, Philostrate provides a contrast to some of the crazier characters in the story.
- SNUG — One of the amateur actors rehearsing a play in the forest. Snug is sweet, sincere, and perhaps a little nervous about performing. A wonderful comedic role for an actor who can make simple moments very funny.
- STARVELING — Another member of the amateur acting troupe. Starveling is earnest, quirky, and committed to putting on the best show possible—even when things don’t go according to plan. Strong comedic instincts are a plus.
- SNOUT — A member of the amateur acting troupe who eventually takes on the unforgettable challenge of portraying a WALL! Snout is enthusiastic, sincere, and naturally funny. A great character role for someone who enjoys physical comedy and making bold choices.
